Since her university days, Rubab has had a natural talent for navigating numbers and complex financial documents. This led her to join PwC’s Non-Accountancy Graduate Programme to embark on a career in audit, and as she approaches her first-year mark in the firm, she has not looked back since.

Rubab underwent the rigorous three-months programme upon her graduation from SMU with a degree in economics and a second major in finance. The comprehensive training laid a solid foundation for Rubab and helped her connect with like-minded peers in her cohort who quickly became a reliable support network. “Having peers to navigate this journey with has made a huge difference.” Rubab says.

When asked about her most memorable experiences at PwC, she responded, “It’s the friendships, support, and guidance that stand out,” she says. “I also particularly appreciated the calmness that the leadership demonstrated during the busy period. Despite tight deadlines, our seniors remained composed, which motivated the team to deliver high-quality work. Learning from them has fast-tracked my development in ways I hadn't expected.”

“Be open to learning and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Give yourself the space to learn and improve without being too hard on yourself.”
