What is the Edge Programme?

An exciting graduate programme tailored by PwC Deals across Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific to launch your career in an international Deals environment.

Edge is a programme to support you at the start of your career. Boosting your development from the very moment you join the Deals business; featuring a mixture of international development opportunities, rotations so you gain experience across the different parts of the Deals business, technical and business skills training and the support to complete a professional qualification.

Upon successful completion of the Edge programme and your professional qualification, you will be awarded the PwC Advanced Certificate in Deals and be given the opportunity to specialise in the business unit and industry that best suits you and where you can build a successful career.

All Deals professionals will come through our internship programme (One Deals). Interns who perform well will be given a Priority Offer (PO) to join us and get a head-start in the Deals industry under our Edge programme which provides the following opportunities starting from your first year with PwC!

If your answer to the above is a resounding ‘Yes’, look no further. Edge enables you to do so at the International Deals Foundation Event (IDFE) and International Deals Gateway Event (IDGE) – which take place in your first and third years on the programme.

Our top performers across Asia Pacific will be provided with a stretch opportunity to second into a Deals team of another territory towards the end of the programme.

If you have a strong desire to develop yourself into a well-rounded Deals advisor, rotations across at least three PwC Deals business areas will enable you to take an active role in the work involved at each stage of a deal, where you can discover and identify the areas of most interest to you and the best use of your strengths.

You will be given relevant formal learning specially curated for you as you journey and progress through Edge, supporting you throughout the early phase of your career with Deals.

Where applicable, you will also complete a professional qualification that provides you with globally recognised accreditation and the knowledge and skills necessary to be working within Deals and the global market.

Business Recovery Services (BRS)

Within BRS, our professionals offer advisory services to lenders, creditors, companies and individuals in troubled financial situations to help you identify problems, gain cooperation, develop solutions and implement them with ease and precision. Our global network allows us to rapidly deploy cross-border services to you wherever you are.

These services include Insolvency, Restructuring, Debt & Capital Advisory and Corporate Simplification.

Financial due diligence

When considering a major transaction, such as buying another company, selling off a division of a company, or partnering with a new alliance, it is essential to perform a comprehensive assessment of deal value.

PwC’s integrated due diligence approach can provide in-depth analysis of the financial, commercial, and operational aspects of a deal. Our team of sector and deals specialists will efficiently deliver a number of clear benefits, including business analysis, financial considerations, value creation levers, transition plans and exit strategy impacts.

Mergers and acquisitions

As a M&A professional in PwC Singapore, you get the opportunity to work with and advice various profiles of people such as the financial investor, private shareholder, private equity house, or corporate organisation. You will be part of the team to plan for and execute a majority or minority sale of their business.

Strategy

Strategy is often at the forefront of PwC’s Deals related work, with our services spanning the entire deal continuum. From strategy formulation, to deal origination, due diligence (commercial & operational as well as financial), through to post deal integration, market expansion and exit. You will get the opportunity to learn alongside a core team of Strategy professionals based in Singapore further strengthened by a regional network across SE Asia during your career with us.

The team focuses on areas such as Growth Strategy, Market Study and Strategic Repositioning etc.

Valuation

A career in our Valuations practice, within Deals Transaction Services, will provide you the opportunity to help organisations realise the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. In short, we help some of the world’s leading companies originate, create, execute, and realise value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.

You will be part of the team that help organisations unlock greater deal value by providing robust value opinions and transaction model business advisory. You will also get the opportunity to work on areas such as financial risks, forecast analysis and developing financial models that assists the team in providing fair and accurate valuation advice and ultimately helps our clients enhance their deal value.
