Asia Pacific Tax Leader, PwC Singapore
Chris is the Tax Leader for PwC Singapore and PwC Myanmar. He is also a member of the leadership team of PwC Singapore. He has over 20 years of professional experience.
Chris specialises in the M&A tax needs of strategic, financial and private equity clients from Asia, the United States and Europe. He has extensive experience providing tax structuring and planning for acquisitions including management and leveraged buy-outs, and divestments. This extends to global, regional and Singapore targets in a wide array of industries. Chris also worked in the M&A tax team in the London office of PwC UK.
In addition to this he has also led many regional and global projects in various industries to maximize long term value and tax efficiency for multinationals engaged in realigning their global business structures, supply chains and intellectual property holdings. This is especially to seek the alignment of tax, legal and operating models to achieve sustainable financial and operational benefits during business transformation.
PwC recommenced providing tax services relating to Myanmar in 2012. Chris has been active in various market entry and M&A projects across industries. This includes negotiations with the Myanmar Investment Commission, legal and funding structures, and operations.
Chris also brings over 6 years of industry experience. He was the international tax director for the Plastics, Advanced Materials and Industrial businesses of the General Electric Company based in the US and Singapore at various points during that period.
