Jie Hong is a Tax Partner with the Global Structuring unit of PwC Singapore. He has more than 12 years of tax experience in Singapore and has been practising transfer pricing full-time.
Jie Hong’s experience includes working with clients to structure and implement transfer pricing arrangement, value chain transformation, assisting clients with their tax audits and assisting with clients to put in place appropriate transfer pricing documentation. Many of Jie Hong’s clients are companies with global or regional headquarters in Singapore and he looks after transfer pricing matters for these clients on a regional basis.
His key industry focus is the transport and logistics sector where he has worked extensively with companies to plan or defend transfer pricing arrangements on a regional or global basis.
Jie Hong also has substantial experience in assisting multinational companies with cross-border bilateral Advance Pricing Arrangement (APA) and Mutual Agreement Procedure negotiations.
While on secondment with PwC Shanghai, Jie Hong worked extensively with clients on tax audits, negotiations with tax authority and tax planning opportunities in China, including APA discussions. Jie Hong works closely with many Chinese based multinationals and State Owned Enterprises with regional or hub operations in Singapore.
Jie Hong is an Accredited Tax Practitioner with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals. He also holds a Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons).
