Rachel is a corporate lawyer with close to 27 years of experience, specializing in corporate advisory, M&A, REITs and funds, listing and corporate governance advisory work. Prior to founding Eng and Co. LLC, Rachel was the deputy chairman of a major Singapore law firm with regional offices in various parts of Asia.
Rachel is experienced in corporate advisory and transactional matters. She handles corporate finance transactions and initial public offerings of companies, REITs and business trusts. She also advises boards and management on corporate governance issues.
Rachel is a board director of Central Provident Fund Board of Singapore. She was a member of the Committee on the Future Economy formed by the Singapore Government to develop economic strategies to position Singapore for the future. She is also a member of the Corporate Governance Council established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and a member of the Appeals Panel of Abu Dhabi Global Market.
Rachel has been recognized as a leading corporate lawyer by numerous independent legal publications, including Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, IFLR and Who's Who Legal. She was ranked by Asia Business Law Journal as Singapore’s Top 100 lawyers (The A-List) in 2018 and ranked as the top 300 leading female transactional experts globally by IFLR1000’s Women Leaders Guide 2018.
Rachel was featured in the 2018 Financial Times report on legal innovation in the Asia-Pacific region, as one of the Top Ten Pioneers of New Legal Thinking. She was awarded "Managing Partner of the Year" at the ALB South East Asia Law Awards in 2011 and 2013, making her the first person to win the award twice.
