Rose is a Partner with the Financial Services Tax Practice with extensive industry experience. With over 20 years of experience in practising tax, her experience spans across a broad range of compliance and advisory projects.
Rose re-joined PwC Singapore in 2016 after spending 11 over years in a global investment bank as Head of Tax for Singapore and Southeast Asia. Rose has over 20 years of corporate and regional tax experience, and her in-house experience includes advising and dealing with a wide variety of Singapore and SEA regional tax issues relating to investment banking and wealth management, cross-border business reviews as well as managing tax audits in a number of Asian countries. She has also advised on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, asset securitisation, capital market instruments, transfer pricing as well as tax risk management and governance framework. Rose brings valuable insights and practical experience in in-house tax risk management and reporting requirements.
Rose currently leads the Singapore Tax Reporting and Strategy team, supporting all aspects of tax governance and risk management initiatives as well as end-to-end tax processes. She is also one of the leading tax partners in the PwC FinTech practice in Singapore. She has actively worked with a number of FinTech businesses and start-ups on various tax issues and considerations.
Rose started her career with Coopers & Lybrand Singapore. She also had a two year secondment with the Monetary Authority of Singapore where she worked on various tax incentive schemes and tax-related matters for the financial sector.
Rose has a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the National University of Singapore. She is an accredited tax adviser and a chartered accountant with the respective professional bodies in Singapore.
