Public Exchange Programme

Established in August 2020, The Public Exchange Programme was primarily created with the national upskilling agenda in mind. This programme is an initiative that aims at building the practical consulting skills and speaks to our commitment, as PwC, to national talent development.

In the first year of our programme, 12 employees from the Abu Dhabi School of Government were seconded for a period of 6 months with valuable skills gained across various departments including Department of Energy, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Department of Economic Development, among others. Our participants feel that they are already seeing things from a different perspective and they are building new skill sets that can be directly applied in their organisation.

The Process

On-boarding programme to introduce them to the firm and our services.

Engaging with senior partners across the firm and undergoing various engagement sessions with different team members.

3-week training programme with the PwC Academy and on Vantage, that ensures that they are well-equipped with the consulting skills that would allow them to hit the ground running once they join their projects.

Tasking the secondees with a “capstone/simulation” project tackling topics that are aligned with Abu Dhabi government priorities.

Each participant is deployed on a client-facing project for four months with different consulting teams across the BUs, where they are being dealt with as core team members undergoing the typical consulting activities that our team does.
