Summary
Climate Tech Insights are part of our Ventures Perspectives series where we speak to entrepreneurs and senior leadership from the flourishing Middle East tech ecosystem as well as industry experts about startup valuations, growth strategy and climate tech innovations.
In this episode, we sit with Noor Alnahhas, co-founder of nybl, who shares his journey within AI and machine learning, and how he connected these tools with climate management. By using AI, nybl is able to provide organisations with the data to meet their sustainability targets by providing actionable insights.
nybl is a knowledge-driven enterprise machine learning platform that asserts to take unstructured and underutilized data, and then turns this into clear, structured data and provides actionable insights. nybl's AI capabilities seek the most pressing humanitarian, energy, scientific and sustainability challenges.
Noor begins by discussing his own personal journey into entrepreneurship and how that eventually led him to nybl. He explains that along his journey he learned two very valuable lessons which he instilled into nybl - that is the importance of having the right people in your ecosystem and the necessity of having a vision and alignment on this. Noor has relied on these two pivotal lessons and has built it into the core of what nybl is today.
Noor also discussed how pivotal being based in the Middle East has been for the success of nybl, describing how “you can feel the buzz in the air, in this region of the world at the moment, from the vision of the leadership in the UAE and Saudi, both countries with incredible leadership and visionary leaders that have not five year plans - but thirty year, fifty year plans”. Governments are leading the talent and spearheading innovation projects, he says, which provides start-ups the support and infrastructure to keep on trying to succeed.
