Lana last worked for PwC Canada in 2018 leading the external go-to-market strategy for Campus & Experienced Recruitment and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in Toronto. She is a digital marketing and transformation leader who recently took on a new role as Vice-president, Digital Marketing, at Wellington-Altus. Congratulations, Lana!
Shak last worked for PwC in 2020 in Toronto and was with the firm for 15 years. He recently founded his own independent accounting consulting practice and is passionate about bringing awareness to mental health and mental illnesses and creating a safe space for people to be themselves. Congratulations, Shak!
On June 21, 2024, the Greater Montreal office hosted our annual Partner lunch at Club Mont-Royal. There was a presentation by our Quebec and Eastern Canada leaders on PwC Canada’s strategy, a discussion on market trends, and a glimpse as to what’s coming next in the Alumni program.
On June 1, 2024, our Vancouver office hosted PwC Canada’s Friends & Family Day at the Nat Bailey Stadium! The afternoon was spent watching the Vancouver Canadians baseball team defeat the Tri-City Dust Devils, while our Alumni and their families enjoyed ballpark snacks, and cheering on the legendary Sushi Races!
On May 25, 2024, our Calgary office hosted a fun and exclusive soccer event for Alumni and their families at Spruce Meadows. Guests were treated to a buffet brunch, soccer matches, bouncy castles, ice cream, and more. They also got to meet Calgary’s pro soccer team, Cavalry FC!
On May 23, 2024, our Ottawa office hosted their annual National Capital Region Alumni Marquee event at the Zibi event space. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues, strengthen ties, and exchange stories, while enjoying an evening of drinks and canapés.
On May 22, 2024, our Vancouver office hosted the BC Alumni Partners lunch at the Terminal City Club. Our Alumni enjoyed a sit-down lunch, which featured an update on the firm’s strategy by Kate Furber, Vice-Chair and Managing Partner, BC Region and Nicolas Marcoux, PwC Canada CEO and Senior Partner.
On May 9, 2024, our Edmonton office hosted their annual Marquee Alumni event at Kindred Food + Drink in the Ice district.
On May 8, 2024, our Vancouver office hosted a networking, drinks and arcade event at GRETA Bar where Alumni attendees were able to reconnect over some friendly competition and cheer on the playoff-bound Canucks.
On April 18, 2024, our PwC Calgary team hosted an Alumni L&D session at the Westin Calgary. The presentation focused on new and emerging trends in Tax, ESG & Cyber. This session qualified for hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation.
On April 18, 2024, the GTA hosted their Financial Services Alumni event at PwC’s newly renovated office space at 18 York in downtown Toronto. The evening was filled with networking, cocktails, canapés and surprise visit from a strolling magician. Our Alumni also had the chance to take an exclusive tour of our brand new 26th floor.
On April 2, 2024, our Vancouver office hosted a networking event at the Pendulum Gallery at the Capture Photography Festival. Alumni guests were able to reconnect while enjoying an exclusive preview of the “On Time” featured exhibition. The evening included talks by Emmy Lee Wall, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Festival, and artist Gonzalo Reyes Rodriguez, who spoke to his collection.
In April 2024, Alumni from the Quebec and Eastern Canada regions were invited to join a friendly playoff hockey pool for a chance to win various prizes. PwC staffers were also invited to participate along with their Alumni peers.

On November 28, 2023 we hosted a National Alumni Webcast on Enhancing organizational resilience. This session was designed to provide PwC Alumni with key insights from our three-part point of view series based on findings from the Global Crisis & Resilience Survey (GCRS). The webcast explored practical ways Canadian leaders can enhance their organization’s resilience and ability to respond to a crisis.
