April last worked at PwC Canada in 2021 as Management Consultant, Workforce of the Future in Calgary. After over four years and multiple roles across the firm, including the build of PwC Products. She is now the co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of a talent partner working with over 100 companies across the country to increase gender diversity within the tech industry. Congratulations April!
Arnold last worked at PwC Canada in 2016 as Director Technology Strategy in Toronto. Since leaving PwC, he has taken on transformative roles such as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at two leading Canadian AI startups. Congratulations, Arnold!
Vanessa last worked at PwC Canada in 2012 as VP of Corporate Finance (M&A focus) in Toronto. She is fulfilling her dream as CEO of an after-school enrichment program in which students can thrive. Congratulations, Vanessa!
Throughout the Fall, we hosted a series of GTA Deals Alumni mixers which offered valuable opportunities for reconnection and insightful conversation over cocktails and canapés. On November 27, 2024, our Calgary office hosted their annual Calgary Alumni Marquee event at Murrieta’s West Coast Bar & Grill. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues, strengthen ties, and exchange stories, while enjoying canapés.
On November 26, 2024, our Montreal office hosted the annual economist event. Scotiabank Chief Economist Jean-François Perreault spoke about the future economic outlook following the U.S. election. Philippe Jordan and Reem Hamzeh also shared their views on the potential impact of the election on transactions and regulations on climate change.
On November 26, 2024, we hosted our GTA Real Estate Alumni event at 18 York. The evening included a presentation and panel discussion on the 2025 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report. Our very own Alumni partners, Lori-Ann Beausoleil and Chris Potter spoke at the event.
On November 26, 2024 our newly renovated Winnipeg office hosted a learning and development session. Speakers delved into key considerations on pressing topics like ESG, the Global Economic Crime Survey and cyber trends.
On November 25, 2024, we hosted the BC Alumni Holiday celebration at Terminal City Club in downtown Vancouver. Alumni had the chance to contribute to a legacy piece of artwork that will be displayed in our Vancouver office.
Throughout November, our South Western Ontario (SWO) region hosted successful Alumni events across their offices, bringing together past and present team members to share stories, insights, and memories: London (Sunningdale Golf & Country Club), Windsor (PwC Windsor office) and Waterloo (Block Three Brewing Company).
On November 19, 2024, we hosted our GTA Risk Services Alumni event at Real Sports. This was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues, foster new meaningful connections, share experiences, and learn from one another.
On November 7, we hosted the Calgary Alumni L&D event at the Westin Calgary. During the session, attendees heard updates on ESG, the Global Economic Crime Survey, while TedX speaker Morgan Hamel presented on “A New Era of Business Ethics”.
On November 5, 2024, we hosted the PwC Edmonton Alumni L&D event at the JW Marriot Edmonton in the ICE district. Attendees took in a presentation on the Global Economic Crime Survey and Cyber Trends. TedX Speaker, Morgan Hamel, also spoke on “A New Era of Business Ethics”.
During our October 24, 2024 webcast, panelists discussed the critical role employers play in navigating the rapidly changing workplace landscape, inspired by findings from PwC’s 2024 Hopes and Fears Survey.
On October 21, 2024, we hosted a Director connect webcast on the 2024 US Presidential Election and Implications for Canadian Business. Speakers included Jon Lieber, Head of Research and Managing Director, Eurasia Group and Roz Brooks, PwC US Public Policy Leader. The session was hosted by PwC partner, Lona Mathis.
