Andy Wilczynski is a Deals practice partner in the Toronto office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Andy has extensive experience in restructuring of financially-troubled companies, business rescues, turnaround and administrations. He is also experienced formulating and implementing creditor realization and downsizing strategies, as well as reorganizations and operational turnarounds for corporate clients. He has acted as an advisor to lenders and to management and directors of national and multinational corporations.
For the past 25 years, Andy has developed strategies and their implementation for troubled and under-performing, knowledge-based industries such as telecoms, communication, entertainment, technology and media for creditors and debtors in Canada, US and internationally. His industry experience extends to consumer products, industrial, manufacturing, distribution and retail.
Andy has a BCom (Finance) from the University of Toronto (1979). He obtained a professional designation as CA in 1981 and membership in the Canadian Insolvency Practitioners Association (CIRP) in 1986. He was licensed as a Trustee in Bankruptcy by Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada in 1988. In 2004, he completed the Institute of Corporate Directors program at the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto.
Andy is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Ontario, Canadian Insolvency Practitioners Association, Turnaround Management Association and American Bankruptcy Institute. He is also a member of the National Association of Broadcasters, Canadian Association of Broadcasters and National Association of Television Production Executives.
