Derek Hatoum

Derek Hatoum is a partner in the Audit and Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He specializes in providing assurance and advisory services to the financial services sector and has served clients across Canada and in the US, the Caribbean and Europe. Derek’s expertise includes auditing investment management organizations, investment funds, pensions and private equity/venture capital firms. He also provides verification and consultation services to organizations wishing to comply with the Global Investment Performance Standards.
Derek is an active member of PwC’s financial services practice and prepares and instructs educational programs for partners, staff and clients on various topics in the investment management arena. He is also actively involved in PwC’s recruiting, education and mentoring programs and speaks at PwC and industry forums.
Derek earned a BCom (Honours) degree from the University of Ottawa in 1993 and joined PwC’s Audit practice in the Ottawa office the same year. He obtained a CA designation in 1996.
