Dominic Pharand is a partner in the Deals practice of PwC Canada working in the Montreal office. He is part of the Valuations, Modelling and Disputes group.
Since joining the group in 1999, Dominic has provided business valuation advice in various sectors involving privately held as well as publicly traded companies. These mandates had a variety of objectives, including sales, mergers and acquisitions of companies, financing, investment project analysis, tax planning and purchase price allocation for financial accounting purposes.
Dominic has been involved in various litigation engagements and in the preparation of expert reports for damage quantification, or share valuations in connection with shareholder disputes or disagreements. He has also appeared as an expert witness before the Superior Court of Quebec.
Dominic obtained his CA designation in 1999 and is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. He is also a CBV, member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV), a CFA and a member of the CFA Institute. He has a BBA (Business Administration) from Hautes Études Commerciales School of Business in Montréal (1996).
