Edward Matley

Ed is a member of PwC’s Global Center for Crisis & Resilience, and leads the team in Canada.
He has over 20 years of relevant experience, including Crisis Management, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery. His most recent focus has been on the integration of these response disciplines with other areas of risk management as part of clients’ efforts to enhance their resilience.
Ed has worked with clients across a broad range of industries in Canada, the US, UK, and Australia. He’s the current Chair of the Emergency Preparedness in Industry and Commerce Council and participates in the Canadian mirror committee for the International Standards Organization, focusing on Societal Security.
Ed is passionate about enhancing security and resilience within society, by engaging public sector leaders, shaping private sector participation, and encouraging all organizations to be prepared to face all hazards.
