Irene Zaguskin is PwC Canada’s Chief Information and Technology Officer and a Partner in Business Enablement.
Irene is an experienced senior executive leader and board director, with a proven track record of delivering excellence and enabling high growth and turnarounds through digital transformation, technology innovation and business model reinvention. She has versatile experience in numerous industries, including professional services, manufacturing, retail, grocery retail, telecommunications, home services, HVAC, energy and power.
Prior to joining PwC Canada, Irene led transformation initiatives at organizations such as Rogers, Loblaws, Canadian Tire, Enercare and TPH, harnessing the power of technology to improve the experiences of millions of Canadian customers—whether that’s new digital platforms, customer mobile-enabled product offerings, best-in-class customer relationship management systems, innovative IoT platforms, ERP platforms, BI initiatives, or even stronger network connectivity across the country. Irene has also played a key role in M&As for these organizations, thereby enabling expedited growth and expansion across North America.
Irene also currently serves on the board of PropTx and is chair of the board at Lakeland Power. Some of her past board roles included serving on the boards and advisory boards of IDC, ITAC, CAMSS and Canadian Stage.
Irene’s core passion is driving change through digital transformation, innovation, and technology. Her recipe for success has been transforming organizations to form high-performing teams that are customer-centric.
Calling herself a “forever student,” Irene holds an MBA, a Computer Science and Economics undergraduate degree, a MIT certificate in Executive Management, and a Chief Information Security Officer Certification. She is also a graduate of the Director’s Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors and is ICD.D certified.
