Ivan Williams
National Transfer Pricing Leader, PwC Canada
Ivan is a partner in the Calgary office and is the National Transfer Pricing Practice Leader. He has more than 20 years of transfer pricing experience with PwC.
Ivan’s experience of assisting companies with their transfer pricing needs includes developing transfer pricing policies and procedures; preparing transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions including services, products, royalties and finance charges; assisting in negotiations with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at the audit; and appeals and competent authority levels. He has negotiated advance pricing arrangements with the CRA and also has significant experience supporting companies with prospective transfer pricing studies for planning purposes and risk assessments.
Ivan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in economics and a post graduate diploma in Commerce in accounting and finance from Auckland University in New Zealand. He also earned a Masters in Taxation from the University of Auckland. He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand since 1995 and a Canadian Chartered Business Valuator since 2005. Ivan is a former director of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and a frequent speaker on transfer pricing matters.
