As PwC Canada's Chief Sustainability Officer, James Temple and his team bring together the firm's community of solvers in unexpected ways to deliver ESG outcomes for the firm's stakeholders while building a more trusted and resilient business.
Key pillars under his leadership include PwC Canada’s Trust roadmap, ESG performance management and disclosures; corporate sustainability; the transition to Net Zero; stakeholder relations; and PwC's flagship 'New World. New Skills' social impact initiatives designed to digitally upskill two million marginalized Canadians and help close the digital divide.
A thought leader and committed volunteer, James has testified before the Senate of Canada's Special Committee on the Charitable Sector and was named one of the world's Top 100 Leaders by Sustainability Magazine.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Foundation and the Governance Education & Advisory Committee for CPA Canada. His previous Directorships include the Philanthropic Foundations of Canada, Ontario Association of Food Banks and committees for the Red Cross.
