Jamie Mitchell is a partner in the Tax Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. He is part of the firm’s International Tax team.
As one of PwC’s inbound structuring professionals, Jamie’s recent work targets the implications of the now ratified Fifth Protocol to the Canada-United States Income Tax Treaty. He helps clients determine how the Protocol affects them and their structures.

Jamie graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting from Brock University (1996) in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, and received his CA in 1997. Before his start at PwC in 1999, he worked in audit and tax for a smaller accounting firm.
In 2007, Jamie wrote “Department of Treasury Attacks ‘Double Dips’ Too?” a Federated Press article on changes to the US dual consolidated loss rules. He has spoken at events at the Tax Executives Institute and Federated Press and has also tutored for the CICA In-depth Tax course.
