Environment, Resources and Regulatory Leader, PwC Canada
John Bauer is a Partner in PwC’s Ontario Public Sector practice and leads PwC’s Environment, Resources and Regulatory practice. John brings over 20 years of project and program management experience to lead and oversee large-scale transformation engagements. His focus is on helping public sector organizations in the environment and regulatory space modernize their business processes and improve and enhance systems for compliance.
His engagements include redesigning government processes, developing new service delivery models, and implementing major technology projects. His passion is to make public sector organizations more effective, efficient, and customer focused.
As a former Ontario public servant, John was a senior member of the team that developed the Ontario Government’s Integrated Project Management Framework and Methodology while at the Project Management Centre of Excellence at Cabinet Office. For the past 17 years John has been consulting to public sector clients, leading large programs and change initiatives, including Agile product delivery engagements. John brings an understanding of how government works and appreciates the nuances of running projects within the public sector.
John is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and has developed and instructed a variety of PM training courses and seminars for the public sector. John is on Technation’s Ontario Board, fostering dialogue between industry and government. He has an International MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University specializing in strategic management, and a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University.
