Laura Eldridge
Partner, PwC Canada
Laura is a Partner in Atlantic Canada’s Tax practice, and a true Maritimer. She currently lives and works in Halifax where she began her career with PwC Canada, which also took her to Ottawa working with PwC Canada’s National Capital Region for three years.
Laura’s focus is in the area of Canadian corporate taxation including compliance, transaction support, tax diligence, and corporate tax planning. She has also assisted clients in benefiting from SR&ED and other incentives programs. Her experience ranges from Canadian projects only, to global projects working with Canadian, U.S., and other foreign multinationals clients. She has significant experience in providing tax services and advice to individuals and private companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing and processing, and consumer and industrial products.
Prior to joining PwC Canada in 2009, Laura worked in industry with both private and public companies. The experience of being a client to professional services firms herself now guides her interactions with her own clients. Laura takes time to really understand the business issues and challenges clients might be facing in order to determine how she can be of most assistance. She views her relationships with clients as a true partnership.
Laura graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax with a BComm Co-op and earned her CPA, CA designation in 2005. She completed Parts I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Tax Program. She also received her Certified Internal Auditor designation in 2008.
