Tax Partner, PwC Canada
I am a tax partner and business adviser in the Private practice of PwC Canada working in the Greater Toronto Area. I work with a dedicated team of trusted business advisers to bring value to owners and leaders of private companies.
I have more than 25 years of experience providing complex tax planning and advice to high-net-worth families and owners of private companies. I have advised clients on developing tax-efficient corporate structures, corporate reorganizations, shareholder compensation, estate and post-mortem planning, will planning, charitable donation planning, and tax effective sale planning.
I graduated with a BBA (honours) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. I am a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Trusts and Estates Practitioner.
For several years, I taught the tax segment at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario School of Accountancy and was a part-time MBA instructor at the Schulich School of Business where I taught accounting and tax courses.
I have also presented at the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ annual tax update seminars, and a lecturer at CPA Canada’s Advanced Tax Issues course for the Owner-Managed Business. I have authored articles published in PwC Canada's Wealth and Tax Matters, and in the Canadian Tax Foundation's Tax Highlights publication. I play an active role in PwC’s internal learning and development courses, having led numerous courses and presentations.
I believe in giving back to our community. With that mindset, I currently serve in a volunteer capacity as the Treasurer and Finance Chair of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce and as a Director of Mariann Home. I am also the past Treasurer and Finance Chair of Humber River Health Foundation.
