In an uncertain and complex world, financial institutions continually evaluate how to stay compliant and resilient while remaining agile and innovative. Matt has almost two decades of experience helping financial services clients develop, enhance, and operate their risk management capabilities. Matt has proven experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and multi-stakeholder engagements to enable more efficient and effective risk management practices. His experience spans credit, market and operational risk and covers topics including governance, stress testing, capital management, data, models and technology.
Matt is passionate about continuous learning as well as collaborating with clients to solve their most complex problems. He believes the hardest problems can be solved by talented people given the opportunity to interact well together.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
While it’s perhaps not the most prudent risk decision, he still actively trains in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Matt lives in Toronto and is a father of three: Evan, James and Lily.
