Owen Thomas

Owen is a Partner in PwC Canada’s Financial Services Assurance practice. Owen works with Canadian public companies and other regulated financial institutions, including life insurers, property and casualty insurers, as well as banks and asset management companies.
Owen is extensively involved in the release of the IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts accounting standard, sitting on PwC’s global insurance working groups and working with clients to understand and navigate the new requirements in their transition projects.
Owen began his career in the UK, working with insurers in the London market, including Lloyd’s and Solvency II reporting.
Owen obtained a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from the University of Exeter, UK.
