Philippe Jordan is a Montreal partner who leads PwC’s Corporate Advisory and Restructuring group for Quebec which is part of the Deals practice.
Philippe has more than 30 years of experience working with public and private companies in matters of restructuring and insolvency. During this time, he has served as a financial advisor, trustee and Monitor for financial institutions, debtors, shareholders and other stakeholders. Occasionally, he plays an interim role in the management of the company. He has also received provisional administration mandates through court orders. Additionally, Philippe has fulfilled international mandates for various Canadian clients and has participated in union negotiations in some cases. He has also served as fund administrator, managing funds from class actions, and has fulfilled other atypical mandates.
Philippe generally works with clients that are underperforming financially due to operational challenges. With the help of his team of professionals, he has performed operational and balance sheet restructurings, due diligences, financial diagnostics, as well as sold, refinanced and liquidated businesses where profitability was not achievable.
During his career, he has worked in just about every industry including : manufacturing, logistics, transportation, retail, pharmaceutical, wholesale, telecommunications, construction, science/research, customer service, mining, finance, hospitality, seniors’ housing, real estate, airline, financial services etc.
