Richard is a partner in PwC Canada’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice. He helps boards and management teams understand and strategically defend against the rapidly evolving cybersecurity risks. His unique skill is linking both internal and external cyber threats to an organization’s strategic objectives in order to prioritize how resources are used to create a multi-layer cybersecurity plan. 

Richard is a specialist in the Energy, Mining, Utilities, and Industrial (EUMI) sectors, and has led successful engagements in cyber governance & target operating models, board cyber strategy and training, maturity assessment, threat modelling, breach indicator assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, spear-phishing, business continuity management, enterprise risk, privacy compliance, security monitoring, and cyber breach response. 

Previously, Richard led PwC Canada's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) practice. Notably, he led risk work at the world's largest company, and led a risk assessment for the United Nations. He has 23 years of professional services experience, including 15 years of CEO and COO experience leading technology focused organizations. He has more than a 13 years of experience advising boards and C-Suites on governance, strategy, organizational planning, risk, and risk response. 

He brings to his clients the most up-to-date cybersecurity methodologies which draw from established standards, and PwC’s global leading practices.
