Ryan Thulien is a tax partner in the Toronto office of PwC and is the leader of PwC Canada’s Retail and Consumer Tax practice. His clients include several of Canada's largest retailers and consumer product companies in categories such as home improvement, office products, food products, apparel and home goods.
Ryan specializes in advising multinational corporations on Canadian corporate income tax matters, including structuring and reorganization, financing arrangements, cross-border transactions, Canadian tax compliance and accounting for income taxes. Ryan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary (1994).
Ryan is a Chartered Accountant and was the 1994 recipient of the CA Award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. He is a lecturer in the national In-depth Tax Course of CPA Canada and has presented on corporate tax matters for the Tax Executives Institute.
