Serene is a Director based in Calgary who specializes in tax credits and direct incentives throughout the funding lifecycle, from search to award. With over 20 years of combined industry and consulting experience, her expertise extends to Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims, tax credits, and grant proposals for various government levels. She brings industry insights into innovation, technology commercialization, and regulatory applications.

Serene’s current focus is on the applicability of the Clean Economy Investment Tax Credits for capital projects supporting renewable energy, clean fuels and Green House Gas (GHG) reduction. She has authored thought leadership on the legislation as published in PwC’s Tax Insights, and helps clients navigate through the technical interpretation of policies. Previous to PwC, she was an engineer in oilsands production technology with Statoil (now Equinor).
