Simon has over 15 years of experience in actuarial consulting and risk modelling. His experience includes insurance product pricing/valuation, risk management, asset liability management (“ALM”), IFRS 17, Economic Capital, and financial modeling.
Since joining PwC, Simon has worked on a broad range of projects requiring strong understanding of the insurance business and of actuarial concepts. He has gained extensive expertise in valuation and financial reporting by leading the actuarial audits of several life insurance, reinsurance entities and personal injury compensation plans.
Simon is an Appointed Actuary and the peer reviewer of several insurance/reinsurance companies operating in Canada.
Simon has deep insights around IFRS 17, he focused on IFRS 17 since early 2016 through closely following IASB developments, insurance community discussions, and consulting engagements.
