Alter Ego award from the Association des Femmes en Finance du Québec: Nicolas Marcoux, CEO of PwC Canada, recognized for his commitment to the advancement of women in business

Montreal, April 30, 2024 – PwC Canada is proud to announce that Nicolas Marcoux, Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner, will receive the 2024 Alter Ego award, presented by the Association des Femmes en Finance du Québec (AFFQ). This award recognizes the work of a man who shows determination in his contribution to the advancement of women, equity and diversity in business.

For decades, Nicolas Marcoux has been recognized by his peers as an active ally in the advancement of women. In the performance of his duties, he systematically incorporates equity, diversity and inclusion principles into all of PwC Canada’s business practices.

Both the representation and advancement of women in business are extremely important to Nicolas Marcoux. According to a recent PwC survey, women who have a strong feeling of workplace inclusion are not only more likely to be fulfilled professionally, they are also more likely to rise through the ranks and acquire new skills. These results highlight why PwC Canada’s CEO feels it is important to continue, and even step up, current efforts in equity, diversity and inclusion. It is also why he has appointed several talented women to strategic leadership positions.

Nicolas Marcoux’s commitment to propelling women’s empowerment and advancement in the workplace is reflected in PwC Canada’s business strategies. Since he became CEO in 2018, women’s representation on the leadership team has risen from 26% to 50%, making PwC Canada an industry leader. The firm’s initiatives include the award-winning Women in Leadership program, which enables participants to develop their leadership skills to better advance in their careers.
