Front-Office Transformation

Journey to digital enablement

84%

of companies fail at digital transformation

Why? Companies often apply a one-size-fits-all approach to digital transformation. Within any company, people of all ages, digital skill set, roles and change aptitudes make up the team—and as a result, each person brings something different to the table. It’s important to understand different journeys and how it works for them.

The 6-part Digital Enablement Blog Series provides insights on how to create real business value from their investment in front-office cloud platforms. The series provides an in-depth look at PwC’s own digital enablement approach.

The right digital skill sets and capabilities exist across an organization – people and leaders – to be successful in a digital age.

The values, beliefs, attitudes, assumptions, biases, and ways of thinking about digital to fuel innovation.

The right connections, collaboration, relationships, and influence within an organization to foster digital innovation.

The application of new learnings to adapt habits and actions that drive digital innovation.

Taking advantage of the digital age changes how you interact with customers.

Those who fail to adapt will fail to survive.

People make, or break, transformations

We apply the same methodologies used in customer experience to create impactful, innovative employee experiences while helping your people embrace technology. This people-centric approach doesn’t replace traditional change management. Rather, it’s a new way of developing transformation projects to deliver expected business value.

We use a BXT approach to digital adoption, with a human-centred focus on people and how modern cloud technology can enable them. Always consider the employee experience when designing and implementing transformation. The question should always be: Is this easy to use? If yes, continue. If no, stop and re-design.

The BXT approach to designing a transformation program

Leadership buy-in:
Reinvent how we work

Adoption and insights:
Sustain innovation

Engagement:
Drive adoption

Skills and behaviour:
Teach the tools

Five principles that put people at the centre of digital transformation

  1. People are different
Personalize the interactions with technology and the tools so that employees see the value and embrace the technology.
  2. People expect tech to be easy to use
Design the program for humans and constantly update UX to make things easier for your people.
  3. People follow leaders
Engage leaders to model new ways of working. Leaders need to walk the walk.
  4. People get bored
Focus on delivering powerful and immersive experiences that make training fun, interactive and different.
  5. People don’t change overnight
Use rigorous metrics to understand what is actually happening and provide data driven insights to intervene. Continuously improve.

No matter where you are in your digital enablement journey, we can help you accelerate adoption.
