Status of file as of June 25, 2024

On June 18, 2024, the Superior Court of Quebec issued an order approving a claims process to establish certain claims against the Debtors. All documentation pertaining to this process, including the claims package, can be found in the "Claims Process" section of this site.

On the same date, the Court also issued an order approving an interim distribution, as well as a third amended and restated initial order.

Status of file as of June 7, 2024

On June 3, 2024, the Superior Court of Québec issued an order postponing the stay of all proceedings against the Debtors to August 30, 2024.

On the same day, the Court also issued an order approving the sale of certain assets as well as a cancellation and striking off order.

Status of file as of April 30, 2024

On April 29, 2024, the Superior Court of Québec issued a amended and restated initial order postponing the stay of all proceedings against the Debtors to May 31, 2024. We refer you to the order dated April 29, 2024 for further details.

Status of file as of March 27, 2024

On March 25, 2024, the Superior Court of Québec issued a rectified and restated initial order postponing the stay of all proceedings against the Debtors to April 29, 2024. We refer you to the order dated March 25, 2024 for further details.

Status of file as of March 18, 2024

On March 15, 2024, the Superior Court of Quebec issued an order authorizing the continuation of the proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (the "CCAA"). The Debtors, as well as other related companies that have been added to the proceedings, are now under the protection of the CCAA. The Initial Order provides for an initial stay of all proceedings until March 25, 2024, and appoints PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. as Monitor of the business and financial affairs of the Debtors. We refer you to the order dated March 15, 2024 for further details.

On the same date, the Court also issued an approval and vesting order and an order approving a sale and investment solicitation process. Please refer to the orders dated March 15, 2024 for further details.

Status of file as of March 6, 2024

Gestion Juste Pour Rire Inc., Juste Pour Rire Les Gags Inc., Les Productions Juste Pour Rire II Inc., Juste Pour Rire TV Inc., Distributions Juste Pour Rire Inc., Festival Zoofest and Festival Juste Pour Rire (the "Debtors") have each filed with the Official Receiver a “Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal” pursuant to Subsection 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act on the 5th day of March 2024.

Pursuant to Section 69 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, all proceedings against the Debtors are stayed as of the date of filing the Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal with the Official Receiver.
