Jakarta - The Land Bank Agency revealed that the acceleration of the agrarian reform programme has supported the construction of the very, very important person (VVIP) airport in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) and benefited citizens.

“In the context of agrarian reform, citizens will gain significant economic advantages from developments within the agrarian reform zone, including the VVIP airport, industrial estates, and public facilities,,” Strategic Planning and Land Procurement Deputy of the Land Bank Agency Perdananto Aribowo said in Jakarta on Sunday (10/12/2023).

He added that land prices could increase significantly in 5-10 years. Moreover, when IKN has operated.

Based on an internal study by the Land Bank Agency, land prices around the VVIP airport in IKN could potentially increase by hundreds in the next 10 years. Providing legal certificates to citizens will automatically escalate the value of these lands.

The mechanism outlined in Presidential Regulation Number 86 of 2018 confirms that agrarian reform will be executed by regency or local governments under the guidance of their respective regents or mayors.

Perdananto Aribowo hopes that the implementation of agrarian reform on the right of land cultivation of the Land Bank Agency can be carried out immediately. So, it can be an example for other agrarian reforms of the Land Bank Agency. “We hope [the agrarian reform] can be carried out excellently,” he said as reported by Antara.
