Jakarta - PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) and PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk (PTPP) obtained two contracts worth Rp8.4 trillion to work on railway infrastructures in the Philippines.

The two contracts are for Malolos to Clark railway project (Bulmentritt Extension) CP S-01 and South Commuter Railway Project CP S-03C.

In the railway infrastructure projects, ADHI controls 51% of the portion and PTPP controls 49%. Out of the total value of Rp8.4 trillion, ADHI’s contract value reaches Rp3.7 trillion with Rp1.47 trillion for CP S-01 and Rp2.29 trillion for CP S-03C.

Adhi Karya President Director Entus Asnawi said that ADHI and PTPP would give their best performance to produce results that are in line with the plan. “As a construction SOE (state-owned enterprise) with a champion in the railway sector, we will continue to develop our competence to give the best realisation,” Asnawi explained in his official statement on Friday (14/7/2023).

Moreover, he said that, for the construction in the Philippines, the company would not only represent itself but also Indonesia in international construction. Hence, through the railway projects in the Philippines, the company hopes to expand its construction business to the Philippines.

Not only in the railway infrastructure sector, but also other sectors such as roads, bridges, buildings, and also environment-based construction.

“We are optimistic about the projects providing experiences and lessons for the company to increase its capacity and capability in railway construction in the regional level,” Asnawi said.
