Jakarta - Jabodebek LRT’s operator is exploring to cooperate with eight property developers in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi to facilitate the people’s mobility in the areas.

Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Kuswardoyo said that communication with around eight major property developers in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek) was progressing positively to establish cooperation.

However, Kuswardoyo cannot mention the large-scale developers that are invited to cooperate with Jabodebek LRT. The cooperation is still continuously discussed.

“Until now, we are still continuously discussing it, but the response has been positive. We only need to wait for the MoU,” he said on Sunday (9/7).

According to him, the cooperation with property developers will be focused on residential areas around Jabodebek LRT’s operating area.

He said that Jabodebek LRT was exploring the potential of feeders to carry passengers from residential areas to LRT stations.

He ensures that all LRT stations will be integrated with other modes of transportation to support the people’s mobility.

Kuswardoyo explained that all LRT routes have been integrated with other modes of transportation, such as bus rapid transit (BRT), ojek (motorcycle taxi), Greater Jakarta Commuter Line (KRL), and other modes of transportation.

He explained that the intermodal integration involved regional governments from Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor, and Depok where Jabodebek LRT travels through.

Kuswardoyo mentioned that Bekasi Local Government has prepared new routes to go to the LRT stations in Bekasi.

“Regarding integration, we are currently supported by regional governments in Jakarta, Depok, and Bekas. All stations will be integrated with other modes of transportation,” Kuswardoyo explained.

In relation with the integration with Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, he added that Jabodebek LRT passengers could use a pedestrian access as both modes of transportation are connected by a skybridge.

On the soft launch on 12 July 2023, Jabodebek LRT will only operate 17 out of 18 stations as it will not stop at Halim Station.

During the soft launching period, Jabodebek LRT will only provide three departure stations, namely Jatimulya, Harjamukti, and Dukuh Atas.

Jabodebek LRT is providing 600 seats per day for four trial trips. On 18 August 2023, Jabodebek LRT will operate commercially after it is inaugurated by President Joko Widodo.
