Jakarta, ID – State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir announced that SOEs have contributed dividends totalling Rp85.52 trillion throughout 2024. He noted that this substantial sum came from 20 different SOEs.
“Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), the dedication and hard work of all commissioners, directors, and other elements of these SOEs have positively impacted Indonesia. We hope that the Rp85.5 trillion in dividends contributed by these SOEs will benefit the entire populace,” Erick said as quoted from his official Instagram account on Tuesday (23/7/2024).
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), a state-owned enterprise in the logistics sector, contributed Rp31 billion in dividends to the state in 2023, thanks to its strong performance. This achievement came after ASDP improved its financial performance. According to their audited 2023 consolidated performance report, ASDP recorded a revenue of Rp5.032 trillion and a net profit of Rp637 billion.
This profit is the highest in ASDP's history, representing a 9% increase from their 2022 profit of Rp585 billion. Additionally, their 2023 revenue of Rp5.032 trillion surpassed their pre-COVID-19 revenue of Rp3.328 trillion in 2019, marking a 15% increase from the Rp4.38 trillion realised in 2022.
ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin attributed the improved financial performance to the various efficiency and operational enhancement strategies implemented by the management.
"We observed a positive trend in our financial performance due to our commitment to optimising service operations. This enables the company to better serve the public interest," Shelvy Arifin stated.
ASDP currently operates around 290 ferry routes across Indonesia. Of these, 70% are pioneer routes that connect underdeveloped, remote, outermost, and border (3TP) regions, facilitating the movement of passengers and goods to enhance connectivity in these areas. The remaining 30% are commercial routes that help sustain the pioneer routes.
With this extensive network of routes, ASDP has established itself as the largest company in the ferry shipping industry, bolstered by various innovations they have introduced.
Shelvy highlighted that ASDP's digital innovations have been crucial in enhancing the company's efficiency and productivity. "Digital transformation includes systems for online ticket purchasing and tech-based operational management. These advancements have helped increase and optimise our efficiency and services," he explained.
Through these financial and operational achievements, ASDP has demonstrated its commitment to continuous growth and positive contributions to the national economy.
