Investor Daily - Jasa Marga siap pertahankan pendapatan positif

28 March 2024

Jakarta, ID – PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR) is ready to maintain their toll road business revenue at a positive level. Moreover, during the Eid homecoming period this year, the company estimates that traffic volume will increase from last year.

The state-owned toll road issuer predicts that traffic volume from Jakarta through the four toll gates during the homecoming period (D-7 – D+2) this year will reach 1,862,715 vehicles, marking a 5.94% increase from 2023. This surge represents a 54,13% rise compared to normal traffic levels.

The same as homecoming traffic, JSMR predicts that return traffic will also grow. According to official data from Jasa Marga, the traffic volume expected to enter Jakarta via the four toll gates during the Eid return period this year is projected to reach 1,920,976 vehicles. This marks a 4.19% increase from 2023, or a significant 60.55% surge compared to normal traffic levels.

In line with the forecast, Jasa Marga Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana stated that Jasa Marga would maintain their toll road revenue to continue growing. “We have calculated the forecast for this year. As a public company, we continue to maintain the company’s positive performance. However, because we are a public company, we cannot predict the nominal,” Lisye said at the State-owned Enterprises Ministry in Jakarta on Wednesday (27/3/2024).

Lisye said that Jasa Marga would continue to maintain their revenue from the toll road business to remain positive. One of their strategies is to make their burden more efficient and to focus on boosting revenue growth with the Eid momentum.

Another positive catalyst is the tariff adjustment of operating toll segments. “This year, the tariff of around 5 to 7 toll segments is planned to be adjusted. It is in accordance with the schedule. There is an adjustment every two years,” Lisye said.

Several Jasa Marga’s toll segments with tariff that will be adjusted this year are Cengkareng-Kunciran toll road, Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) toll road, Cinere-Serpong toll road, and Bali Mandara toll road, which is located outside Java.
