Jakarta - Jakarta Provincial Government is adding more budget through a regional equity participation (PMD) of Rp1.5 trillion for PT Lintas Raya Terpadu (LRT) to construct the Velodrome-Manggarai route of Jakarta LRT phase 1B.
“We were even asked to provide an additional PMD for PT LRT worth Rp1.5 trillion,” Jakarta Financial Management Body (BPKD) Head Michael Rolandi Cesnanta said during the meeting with Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission C on Tuesday (9/5/2023).
It is the second budget provision. Previously, Jakarta Provincial Government had allocated Rp916 billion to construct the Velodrome-Manggarai route of the LRT.
The budget will be provided for PT LRT in Jakarta Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P) for Fiscal Year 2023.
His agency will also provide another PMD for PT LRT worth Rp2 trillion in the 2024 Regional Budget (APBD).
With the budget provision, he hopes that the construction of Jakarta LRT in Jakarta can be more optimum and can be completed on time in 2024.
Jakarta DPRD Commission C Member S. Andyka confirmed that Jakarta Provincial Government provided a PMD of Rp1.5 trillion this year. However, the budget is not an addition from the previous APBD.
“The APBD cannot be revised as it has been decided [to provide] Rp916 billion. So, in the Revised APBD, Michael said that there was an additional Rp1.5 trillion,” he stated.
He hopes that the construction can be carried out optimally as the LRT is a national strategic project (PSN).
