Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) won new contracts worth Rp6.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2023. This achievement is relatively consistent with the company’s realisation last year.

WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito mentioned that most of the new contracts realised in the first quarter of 2023 were from the industry segment. Then, it is followed by the energy and industrial plant segment, the infrastructure and building segment, the realty and property segment, and the investment segment.

“Among the new contracts, there are projects to construct the business centre building and the continuity of Bali Tourism Polytechnics landscape that were entrusted by the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry to WIKA. The work scope includes structure, architecture, MEP, site development, and landscape,” Agung explained in his official statement that was quoted on Friday (5/5).

He explained that the business centre building and the continuity of Bali Tourism Polytechnics landscape that are worth Rp101.56 billion were carried out using the monthly progress payment scheme that is in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen the company’s financial condition.

The business centre building project will show a signature design of Bali with a capacity of 7,500 people. “We are committed to giving WIKA’s best to complete the project on time with a satisfactory quality,” Agung said.

On the other hand, the state-owned construction issuer recently held an annual general meeting (AGM) for fiscal year 2022 that was held in a hybrid manner on Thursday (4/5). It talked about eight topics.

One of the results of the AGM is the agreement for the change in the nomenclature as well as the task and the title transfer from the Human Capital and Development Director to the Human Capital Management Director.

Hence, WIKA’s management currently consists of President Director Agung Budi Waskito, Operations Director I Hananto Aji, Operations Director II Harum Akhmad Zuhdi, Operations Director III Rudy Hartono. Meanwhile, Hadjar Seti Aji has been appointed as the Human Capital Management Director, the QHSE Director title is held by Ayu Widya Kiswari, and the Finance and Risk Management Director is held by Adityo Kusumo.

Agung admits that he is optimistic about the adjustment making the company more solid, especially to support the transformation to create a more optimum business process.
