Bisnis, Bogor – As of March 2024, PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) has provided guarantees for 52 projects across Indonesia with a total investment value of Rp503 trillion.
PT PII Business Director Andre Permana revealed that the guarantees were provided for the projects through public-private partnerships (PPPs), state-owned enterprise (SOE) direct loans, and SOE initiatives aimed at achieving national economic recovery.
“We have increased the base capital to Rp15 trillion [from the state budget (APBN)]. Meanwhile, the total investment value from the 52 guarantees is Rp503 trillion,” he explained on Thursday (30/5).
Among the guaranteed projects, public-private partnership (PPP) projects dominate, totalling 34 projects with a combined value of Rp301 trillion.
The projects include Pekanbaru Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) worth Rp5 trillion, Cisumdawu Toll Road worth Rp8.4 trillion, and Government Multipurpose Satellite worth Rp6.4 trillion.
Meanwhile, only 13 infrastructure projects support green development, including Dieng II and Patuha II Geothermal Power Plants in Java worth Rp6.9 trillion and Makassar-Parepare Railway worth Rp1 trillion.
Regarding the guarantee for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway Whoosh, Andre stated that PII continued to fulfil this assignment.
“What we are guaranteeing is not the high-speed railway, but the corporation,” Andre explained.
In the future, PII will also prepare guarantees for infrastructure projects in the form of housing for low-income citizens and those forced to relocate.
These houses are planned to be constructed in numerous areas, including Jakarta, Bandung, Karawang, and other areas affected by urbanisation.
PII is also preparing guarantees for projects in other transportation sectors, such as for the airport train in Singkawang, West Kalimantan.
Andre said that investment for the airport train in Kalimantan was currently being prepared through PPP by the Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Ministry.
