Investor Daily - PUPR mulai bangun Tol Akses Patimban Paket 1-3 perlancar arus logistik

13 November 2023

Jakarta - The Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Ministry is commencing the construction of Patimban Access Toll Road Packages 1-3.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that Patimban Access Toll Road was longed for and would determine the success of Patimban Port in facilitating the logistics flow of cargo in eastern Jakarta.

“The toll road is very strategic. Not only logistics, but it will also control traffic from Jakarta to the west. So, products from the east do not need to go to the west to be exported and imported, they can go directly to the east to reduce the traffic load in Jakarta,” Minister Basuki said in Jakarta on Friday (10/11/2023).

The signing of the contract with toll road enterprises, which took place at the PUPR Ministry office in Jakarta on Friday (10/11/2023), signifies the commencement of the freeway project. The contract for Package 1 was signed by West Java PJBH Task Force PPK III and PT PP Senior Vice President Arzan, for Package 2 was signed by West Java PJBH Task Force PPK IV Tomy Anitianata and Waskita-Abipraya Joint Operation representative Fathur Rozaq, and for Package 3 was signed by West Java PJBH Task Force PPK III Efran Kemala Hamonangan and Hutama Karya-Jaya Konstruksi Joint Operation representative Ari Asmoko.

Furthermore, Minister Basuki said that the toll road enterprises must construct Patimban Access Toll Road on time with the best quality.

“With the contribution and the role of all service providers, I anticipate positive competition not only in terms of quality and speed, but also in the aesthetics of Patimban Access Toll Road. I hope that the toll road’s quality can be better than what we have built until now,” he stated.

Patimban Access Toll Road spans 37.05 km where 14.11 km will be built by toll road enterprises and 22.94 km will be built by the government. The government’s construction portion consists of four construction packages, namely Package 1 spanning 7.69 km, Package 2 spanning 6.2 km, Package 3 spanning 5.5 km, and Package 4 spanning 3.55 km.

The toll road will connect Patimban Port that is connected to Pantura Road to the Cikopo-Palimanan segment of Trans-Java Toll Road. The toll road is expected to increase export activities from industrial estates around Cikarang-Cibitung-Karawang and support development in Subang Regency and its surroundings.

Patimban Access Toll Road will be built with a total of four lanes that are divided into two directions. Each lane will have a width of 3.6 metres. With the specification, the capacity of the toll road is planned to accommodate 100,000 heavy vehicles per day. The toll road is also planned to be equipped with rest areas at two specific locations. The rest areas will be situated at STA 21+300 en route to Patimban Port and at STA 22+300 en route to Cipali Toll Road. These facilities will provide a place for toll road users to stop by and rest.

Sumbu Kebangsaan Road

On the other hand, the PUPR Ministry through Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force stated that the construction progress of the west side of Sumbu Kebangsaan Road in Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in IKN has reached 72.73%. Meanwhile, the construction progress of the east side of Sumbu Kebangsaan Road has reached 64.03%.

As quoted by Antara, IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force Chairperson Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga said that the PUPR Ministry constructed the Sumbu Kebangsaan Road similar to the road infrastructure of Monas in Jakarta.

“Sumbu Kebangsaan Road goes around the State Palace area and the Presidential Office in KIPP in IKN,” Danis said in Jakarta on Friday (10/11/2023).

He also said that the construction of Sumbu Kebangsaan Road in IKN’s KIPP was still progressing as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the west side and the east side of Sumbu Kebangsaan Road in IKN are some of the roads in IKN that are fitted with the multi-utility tunnel (MUT) technology.

The construction of the road and the MUT is conducted simultaneously as the MUT is constructed underground at a depth of around 1.5-2 metres. The installation of the MUT is tailored to the specific function of the road, whether it serves as a primary, secondary, or residential road.
