Jakarta - The Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Ministry through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) revealed that 13 toll segments have operated up to October 2023.

“From January to October 2023, 13 toll segments spanning 189.11 km have operated,” BPJT Head Miftachil Munir said in Jakarta on Sunday (26/11/2023).

He said that the operational toll segments included Semarang-Demak toll road section 2 (Sayung-Demak) spanning 16.01 km, Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu toll road section 2A (Jakasampurna-Marga Jaya) spanning 4.88 km), and Cinere-Jagorawi toll road section 3A (Kukusan-Krukut) spanning 3.5 km.

There are also Sigli-Banda toll road sections 5-6 (Blang Bintang-Kuto Baro) spanning 12.71 km, Cibitung-Cilincing toll road section 4 (Taruma Jaya-Cilincing) spanning 7,285 km, and Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road section 2A (Jatikarya-Cikeas) spanning 3.78 km.

Furthermore, there are Pasuruan-Probolinggo toll road section 4A (East Probolinggo-Gending) spanning 9.08 km, Indralaya Interchange-Prabumulih toll road spanning 63.5 km, and Cisumdawu toll road sections 4-6 (Cimalaka-Dawuan) spanning 29,165 km.

Moreover, there are also Ciawi-Sukabumi toll road section 2 (Cigombong-Cibadak) spanning 11.05 km and Stabat-Kuala section of Binjai-Langsa toll road spanning 7.55 km.

Finally, there are Indrapura-Limapuluh toll road spanning 15.15 km, Tebing Tinggi-Indrapura toll road spanning 22.85 km, and Indrapura-Indrapura Interchange spanning 5.45 km.

Toll road construction is continuously carried out by the government through the PUPR Ministry as a policy to connect freeways to cut travel time, provide new segments, and improve the economy.

From 1978 to October 2023, toll roads in Indonesia have reached 2,816.7 km. The toll roads are located in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Bali.

The toll roads are managed by 52 toll road enterprises with 73 toll segments and 13 rest areas.
