Investment Week - 31 Train set LRT Jabodebek Telah Berada di Lintasan

21 October 2021

Jakarta – The last train set of Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) has arrived at Harjamukti Station, Cibubur, West Java. After the three-day journey from 14 October 2021, the 31st train set has arrived on 17 October 2021 at 1:00 AM WIB (Western Indonesia Time).

“There are six trains in a train set, which will be carried carefully to be put on the track. The train set was directly delivered from the factory of PT Inka (Persero) in Madiun, East Java. This train set is the last [train set] since the first delivery in October 2019,” according to a written statement from PT Adhi Karya/ADHI (Persero) Tbk as quoted on Wednesday (20/10).

Previously, PT Indonesia Kereta Api/Inka (Persero) had officially delivered the last or the 31st Jabodebek LRT train set from Madiun on Thursday (14/10). Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who attended the 31st train set delivery ceremony, explained that the event was a sign that the production process and the static testing of all Jabodebek LRT train sets in Inka’s factory had been finished.

“I am thrilled that this is the last stage of Inka’s production of LRT [trainsets]. This shows that the production process and the static testing at Inka’s factory have been finished, which delivered the first [train set] in October 2019,” Luhut said at the time.

Meanwhile, from 16 to 17 October 2021, ADHI had conducted a load test on Jabodebek LRT’s long-span bridge above Jakarta Outer Ring Road or JORR.

“During every infrastructure project construction, there will be a feasibility study to ensure the construction can be used by citizens. One of them is the load test. The long-span bridge spans up to 90 metres, beating the longest long-span bridge in Dubai that spans 74 metres,” ADHI mentioned.

ADHI’s work scope consists of connecting tracks, constructing stations, elevated tracks, trackwork and railway tracks, as well as preparing the signalling system. Until the end of September 2021, the first stage of LRT Jabodebek facility construction had reached 87.54%. In detail, the construction progress of service route I (Cawang-Cibubur) has reached 93.94%, service route II (Cawang-Dukuh Atas) has reached 87.99%, service route III (Cawang-East Bekasi) has reached 92.25%, and the depot has reached 55.85%.

The overall station construction progress has reached 90%. This can be seen from the 18 stations constructed along the three routes.
