Jakarta - Nusantara Capital City Authority stated that the second stage of groundbreaking will be carried out for 10 projects that are funded by the private sector and the state budget (APBN) worth Rp12.5 trillion.
Nusantara Capital City Authority Head Bambang Susantono stated that the groundbreaking of the 10 projects that will be carried out from 1 to 3 November would be attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
According to him, the agenda is the second stage of groundbreaking as the first stage has been carried out in September 2023.
The 10 projects that are funded by the private sector and the APBN are IKN facilities, which include hospitals, malls that are integrated with hotels and apartments, government offices, an orangutan preservation island, a VVIP airport, and schools that consist of national and international schools.
“These varied sectors show that IKN has basic facilities for citizens that will relocate next year,” he said in his official statement on Sunday (29/10).
The second stage of groundbreaking is predicted to include projects that have an estimated investment value of Rp12.5 trillion. He stated that groundbreaking has been carried out for projects worth Rp23 trillion in IKN.
According to him, the activity shows high trust from the private investors and the government in IKN, and it also shows that there is economic growth around Nusantara.
On the other hand, Bambang explained that one of the projects that the President will be groundbreaking was the relocation of SDN 020 Sepaku to a land that is provided by surrounding villages that is 400 metres away from the previous location with a new concept and design.
“Hence, the community-based development design has been implemented on the school. Hopefully, the school can be an example for other national schools,” he said.
Besides that, the construction of the preservation island for adult orangutans will commence immediately in IKN.
Later, orangutans that are no longer young and cannot be released into the wild will be treated on the preservation island.
“Even though the process is quite long, it is where we can show that growth or development is starting to roll out, which is what we have always wanted,” he said.
