Startups from the Microsoft for Startups Growth X accelerator joined PwC for a startup pitch and innovation showcase, at PwC’s Experience Centre in Dubai.
As the corporate delivery partner with Growth X accelerator for the 2022 cohort; PwC invited ten founders from the twenty one strong cohort to present disruptive solutions that could potentially address some of the biggest challenges facing our clients today.
Innovation from the world of Fintech, HRtech, Emerging Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Financial Inclusion was showcased, many of which had use cases across multiple industries.
Hosted by Patricia Keating, Scale Lead for PwC Ventures, the event opened with sponsor of the Growth X partnership; financial services partner Mark Stanley, who introduced the Middle East firm’s Ventures strategy.
Mark explained how PwC was actively partnering with its clients and high-performing scale-ups to industrialise innovation, to design, build and scale new ventures, and linking our professional fees to our clients' strategic business outcomes.
Mentors and facilitators from PwC contributed to the programme of learning for the startups across regular mentor and insight sessions, workshops and practical sessions and joined the audience to see the culmination of twelve weeks of support.
Hybrid technology in the Experience Centre seamlessly brought together seven founders in the region to pitch in person with three international businesses streamed live from Europe and the United States. PwC stakeholders from Riyadh, Jordan and Egypt were also able to actively join the discussion with the event’s in person audience.
All the startups now go onto graduation at A.D.G.M. with A.D.I.O. in Abu Dhabi.
