Bisnis, Jakarta – The state-owned enterprise (SOE) contractor, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), has officially inaugurated multiple strategic infrastructure projects that were under the company's purview. The successful completion of these projects is poised to enhance PTPP's cash flow in 2024.
On Thursday (22/2), PTPP inaugurated Losari Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), an integrated wastewater treatment system project. Commonly referred to as Makassar WWTP B1, the project holds a contract value of Rp282 billion plus US$3.04 million.
Besides that, PTPP has also completed phases 1B and 1C of Makassar New Port that has a contract value of Rp2.95 trillion. Funding for the national strategic project (PSN) comes from PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).
Recently, PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad announced the recent completion of the Tonasa and Garongkong segments of the Makassar-Parepare railway route. Additionally, the construction SOE holds shares in Celebes Railway Indonesia. Furthermore, PTPP is also actively engaged in the development of the Makassar Vertical Technical Implementation Unit Hospital (RSUPT).
“This reflects the commitment and contribution of PTPP to continuous national development, especially in South Sulawesi,” he said in his official statement on Thursday (22/2).
In addition to South Sulawesi, PTPP also initiated groundbreaking for the BNI Building project in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 on Tuesday (20/2). This project, incorporating the green building concept and earning the platinum LEED certification, boasts a contract value of Rp1.4 trillion with an estimated construction period of 17 months.
Another PSN that is also worked on by PTPP and was inaugurated this month is the Indrapura-Lima Puluh section of the Indrapura-Kisaran toll road. The Trans-Sumatra toll road project boasts a contract value of Rp4.3 trillion.
“The PSNs completed at the beginning of 2024 were not only successful but also provided valuable experience that will be instrumental in undertaking similar projects in the future,” Novel said in a separate statement.
He said that PTPP was currently working on section 2 of the Bayung-Lencir Tempino toll road, package 3 of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi toll road, and section 1B of the Semarang-Demak toll road that are also PSNs.
In January 2024, PTPP secured a new contract value of Rp3.5 trillion, marking a significant year-on-year (YoY) increase of 99.96%.
