Bisnis, Jakarta – The Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Ministry hopes that the longest toll road projects in Java and Bali will not be removed from the list of national strategic projects (PSNs) as they hold significant importance.

Infrastructure and Housing Financing Director General of the PUPR Ministry Herry Trisaputra Zuna explained that the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) toll road that is the longest toll road in Java and the Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road that is the longest toll road in Bali would be retendered as no winner has been selected.

He affirmed that the two longest toll roads in Java and Bali would continue and remain on the list of PSNs.

“Hopefully they are not [removed]. They are currently on progress, so hopefully not,” he stated at the BP Tapera office in Jakarta on Wednesday (5/6).

He explained that the tender prequalification for the Getaci and Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll roads did not yield any winners.

“From the previous process, there is no winner. So, in accordance with the regulation, we will hold another [tender],” he stated.

In the announcement of the tender results for the Getaci toll road, numbered 24/BPJT/L/GTCM/2024, the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) stated that only two consortiums participated in the tender process.

The first is the consortium of PT Trans Persada Sejahtera-PT Wiranusantara Bumi that did not pass. The second is the consortium of PT Dayamulia TUrangga-PT China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai that also did not pass.

Meanwhile, the tender for the Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road also did not result in any winners, as the PUPR Ministry determined that the consortium of PT Bangun Sarana Agung also did not pass the prequalification stage.

Toll Road Service Information System Division Head of the PUPR Ministry Ali Rachmadi Nasution disclosed that the reason why the three consortiums did not pass prequalification was due to their failure to meet the administrative requirements.

Besides that, the three consortiums interested in undertaking the two toll projects also lack strong financial capabilities.

“The tender committee determined that the prequalification participants failed to meet the administrative requirements and lacked sufficient financial capability,” he explained.
