Jakarta – PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) ensures that Padalarang Station will support the integration of Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway with other transportation modes to facilitate service users.

KCIC President Director, Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, in his statement in Jakarta on Friday (22/10) stated that Padalarang Station would improve passenger connectivity from Bandung and Cimahi who used the high-speed railway.

“Padalarang Hub Station will provide comfortable connectivity for high-speed railway passengers who want to continue their trip to CImahi and Bandung using feeder trains served by PT KAI,” Dwiyana said.

He explained that the additional hub station in Padalarang was provided after considering various aspects, such as the demographic, the commercial aspect, and the infrastructure in Padalarang that was sufficient and capable of serving passengers from western Bandung.

“The high-speed railway station will be located in the west side of Padalarang Station. Passengers who want to use the high-speed railway from Padalarang or vice versa can use the connecting train to Cimahi or Bandung Stations,” he said.

He said that the feeder trains would use railroad diesel trains (KRDs) that were designed similar to airport trains, which would serve routes from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station with the ability to stop at Cimahi Station.

According to the plan, the feeder trains will depart every 20 minutes during busy hours and every 30 minutes outside busy hours, or they will be adjusted to follow the high-speed railway’s operation. Travel from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station takes 18 minutes. If it stops at Cimahi Station, then the trip will take 22 minutes.

Meanwhile, Tegalluar Station operation is expected to accommodate passengers in eastern Bandung, which will be connected to rapid transit buses, taxis, or other transportation modes. The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway station in Tegalluar will have ease of access, which includes Padaleunyi toll road exit to Jakarta and accessibility to and from GBLA Stadium.

In the early phase, there will be four stations that will be used to serve Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway passengers, namely Halim Station, Karawang Station, Padalarang Station, and Tegalluar Station.
