Summary of expertise
Shizuko Akama joined the firm in 2009. She is mainly engaged in PMI services, providing hands-on support to clients from the project set-up phase. She has been involved in PMI support for cross-border transactions, including the acquisition of a European listed company by a global manufacturing company, the divestiture of a business by a global pharmaceutical manufacturer and the acquisition of an overseas logistics base by a major retailer.
More recently, she has been involved in activities such as carve-out assessments, Day 1 support and subsequent integration support in connection with business transfers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, she gained extensive experience in business process improvement, HR system reform and change management related to system implementation at a major foreign consulting firm.
