Dave Cohen joined PwC UK in 2008, and transferred to PwC Tax Japan in 2018 to manage the UK tax desk. He currently focuses on international tax and global M&A projects.
Dave specialises in advising large corporate clients and private equity-backed businesses, and has previously undertaken a secondment to a large private equity-backed business, managing their tax affairs and providing tax support through a successful sale process and subsequent operational group restructuring. He therefore has real world experience dealing with the key tax issues which can arise in large multinational businesses.
As well as providing UK tax advice, Dave covers Japanese tax matters, including advising on the Japanese controlled foreign corporation (CFC) implications of various group reconstructions and acquisitions.
Dave also regularly works with the global PwC network to coordinate and deliver a wide range of tax advisory projects, in particular international tax due diligence and acquisition structuring projects.
