Profile
Kimihito Takano is a partner in the Tax Reporting and Strategy group of PwC Tax Japan. He has over 15 years of experience with PwC Tax Japan. Prior to joining PwC Tax Japan, he gained experience working as a corporate bonds credit analyst for a Japanese financial services provider.
At PwC Tax Japan, he provides a broad range of tax services, specifically related to private equity fund structuring, M&A tax structuring and tax due diligence, international tax planning for Japanese clients, and tax consulting for companies in the process of business recovery. Additionally, he has expertise in accounting for income taxes under US GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Japanese GAAP and serves as a core member of our Tax Accounting Services Group.
Outside of his client work, he has served as a member of various professional committees in the field of business recovery.
Mr. Takano graduated from Golden Gate University with a Master’s degree in taxation. He is a licensed Japanese certified public accountant and a licensed Japanese certified public tax consultant.
