Profile
Mr. Saiki joined PwC Tax Japan in 2004 and has extensive financial services experience, working with Japanese and foreign financial institutions. He is the tax leader of the insurance sector and is the member of the renewable energy team. Mr. Saiki has specifically serviced life and non-life insurance companies, banks, securities companies and investment advisory companies. He specializes in advisory (compliance) services of J-REIT, real estate funds, cross-border financing, securitization, lease, derivatives and financial products. Prior to joining PwC, Mr. Saiki worked for a Japanese bank.
Mr. Saiki graduated from the University of Tokyo. He is a licensed Japanese certified public accountant and a licensed Japanese certified public tax consultant.
Project Results and Achievements
In addition to providing foreign insurance companies with tax consulting on the restructuring of their Japanese business, Mr. Saiki has also provided Japanese insurance companies with:
- Post merger integration services to comply with Japanese CFC requirements in investment in a European insurance company, and
- Tax due diligence and tax structuring services in its investments in Japan, US, Europe, and Asian emerging market insurance companies.
